What happens if it rains?
The event is rain or shine. We will meet in a covered area within the park.
What time should I get to the Zoo?
Plan on arriving at 10:00 AM. The walk will begin promptly at 11:30 AM and you don’t want to miss it.
Is there a formal walking course?
No. Dystonia Zoo events do not have a formal walking course - in fact, you don’t have to walk at all. You can enjoy the festivities and then walk the zoo at your own leisure.
Can I show up the day of the event without registering prior to?
No. Although at most events we are able to offer prefer pre-registration, the Phoenix Zoo has strict rules that forbind this. Please keep in mind t-shirts are also only guaranteed for those pre-registered.
Do I have to print the ticket I receive and bring it with me to the Dystonia Zoo Day?
No, we will have your registration on file. You do NOT need to print out anything.
How do I register my team?
Click "Register Today" and follow the steps to registering yourself first, then right before the billing information under (Optional) Select your team - select "New Team".
Is there a limit to how many people can be on my team?
There is no limit, the more the merrier. Teams of 10 or more will receive a custom team t-shirt.
When do I have to register so that my team can receive custom t-shirts?
Make sure everyone on your team is registered by the deadline - by the end of the day on Monday, November 2.
Who can register to participate in the Dystonia Zoo Day?
Everyone can participate. Invite your families, friends and colleagues to join you and support everyone with Dystonia.
When do I receive my t-shirt?
All t-shirts will be available for pick-up the morning of the Dystonia Zoo Day. T-shirts will be available at the pavilion - t-shirts will not be shipped.
Are service animals allowed at the zoo?
Yes, trained and vaccinated service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted with visitors with disabilities. The Zoo follows AZA guidelines, which is for the protection of the animals. When a guest brings a service animal to the Zoo, a Park Ranger will review the Service Animal Rules with the guest. If you’d like, you can view a downloadable copy of our Service Animal Rules and our Service Animal Path Restrictions map before your visit. What if there isn't a Dystonia Zoo event close to me?
We are working hard to add Dystonia Zoo Days all across the country. In the meantime, you can support a Dystonia Zoo Day by making a donation. Click here to make an online donation.

Is my donation to the Dystonia Zoo Day tax-deductible?
Yes, Dystonia Medical Research Foundation is registered as a not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code, therefore all donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law. The DMRF’s Tax ID Number is 95-3378526.
